Mimi Lee

Mimi Lee is an American filmmaker born and raised in San Jose, California. She writes and directs creative content in film and VR, and explores the world of visual storytelling through her work in narratives, commercials, and music videos. As an independent filmmaker, her stories offer fresh perspectives through thought-provoking narratives, specific to the Asian American experience. She recently graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with an MFA in Directing. Her music video Soif (Thirst) received “Best Music Video” at Urbanworld 2019, and her latest Coming-of-Age Thriller, Moonchild, received an Industry Award for “Best SciFi/Thriller” at USC’s First Look 2020. She is currently developing Moonchild into a feature.
